U-Channel Rubber Profile for Edge Trimming and Industrial Assembly
The AlphaSeals® Grey EPDM U-Channel Edge Trim Rubber Seal is an extruded rubber profile with external dimensions of 11.5 mm wide × 5.8 mm high and a groove width of 8.1 mm. Its U-shaped cross-section fits over compatible panel edges or into matching channels for edge finishing, separation between components, and sealing applications based on the equipment design.
Manufactured from grey EPDM rubber with a hardness of 80 ± 5 Shore A, this profile is suitable for assemblies requiring a relatively firm rubber material. It is supplied in rolls and can be cut to the required installation length. Custom production is available based on customer specifications or drawings.

UV, Ozone and Weather Resistance
EPDM offers resistance to UV exposure, ozone and weathering, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor edge-trim and sealing applications.
Operating Temperature Range: −50°C to +160°C
The specified operating temperature range is −50°C to +160°C, supporting applications exposed to low and elevated temperatures. Suitability should be confirmed against the actual operating conditions.
Water and Chemical Resistance
EPDM provides excellent water resistance and good resistance to selected acids and alkalis at low to moderate concentrations. For chemical-contact applications, please provide the chemical type, concentration and operating temperature for a suitability assessment.
Firm Rubber Profile — 80 ± 5 Shore A
The 80 ± 5 Shore A hardness provides a relatively firm rubber profile for industrial assemblies that specify a harder rubber material. Profile dimensions, groove fit and installation conditions should be considered alongside hardness when selecting the seal.
U-Channel Design for Panel Edges and Matching Channels
The U-shaped profile fits over compatible panel edges or into matching channels, helping position the profile and separate contact surfaces between components. The groove size should be selected to suit the panel thickness and assembly design.
